Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor confirmed that Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore have failed to acquire controlling interest in the NBA team and its WNBA counterpart, the Lynx. The option for the investors to take over the franchises expired, and a deal to purchase a majority stake in the clubs did not materialize. Lore and Rodriguez had 90 days to close the deal after agreeing to buy the Timberwolves at a valuation of $1.5 billion in 2021.
