36-year-old Nicholas Bidar, serving IPP sentence for robberies, had his parole application rejected despite IPP system's abolition in 2012.

36-year-old Nicholas Bidar, serving an indefinite prison sentence under the abolished Imprisonment for Public Protection (IPP) system, has had his parole application rejected. He became the first IPP prisoner to have his parole review heard publicly, but the Parole Board deemed him "not safe for release" at this time.
