Man and woman arrested for 1992 loyalist gun attack in Co Down, which killed former school teacher Peter McCormack and injured three others. The Police Service of Northern Ireland made the arrests, with detectives from the Legacy Investigation Branch investigating the murder at the Thierafurth Inn in Kilcoo. A 63-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman were arrested under the Terrorism Act and are being questioned. The attack was previously linked to the loyalist paramilitary group, the Ulster Volunteer Force.
