Wipro GE Healthcare invests $960m over 5 years in India's manufacturing and R&D, focusing on PET CT devices and aligning with "Make in India" initiative.
Wipro GE Healthcare, a joint venture between India's Wipro Limited and GE Healthcare Technologies, announced a $960 million investment over the next five years in its manufacturing and research & development facilities in India. The investment will focus on enhancing the production capacity of PET CT diagnostic scan devices for export to 15 countries, as well as manufacturing other high-end medical technology devices such as CT scanners and MR breast coils. The company aims to align with the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative.
