VisitScotland will close its information centres over two years, focusing on digital platforms for tourism services.
VisitScotland will close its network of information centres over the next two years as part of a digital-first strategy. The tourism body plans to invest in digital online guides and target channels such as TikTok, YouTube, online travel websites, and AI to reach and influence visitors planning their trips. VisitScotland currently has 25 information centres across Scotland, and all will operate as usual until the end of September as part of a phased two-year closure programme.
