US District Court Judge rules against Genuine Enabling Technology's $500m patent claim against Sony's PlayStation consoles and controllers.

A US District Court Judge has ruled in favor of Sony in a $500 million patent lawsuit brought by Genuine Enabling Technology (GET). GET claimed Sony's PlayStation consoles and controllers infringed on its patent regarding controller-to-console communication. The court ruled GET failed to raise a dispute of fact and Sony did not infringe on its patent. GET has also filed a similar lawsuit against Nintendo.
