ED summons Trinamool Congress leader Moitra and businessman Hiranandani for questioning in a foreign exchange violation case under FEMA.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra and businessman Darshan Hiranandani for questioning in a foreign exchange violation case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Moitra and Hiranandani have been asked to appear before the agency on March 28 and are being investigated for their involvement in transactions related to a non-resident external (NRE) account and other foreign remittances and fund transfers. Moitra denies any wrongdoing and claims she is being targeted due to her questioning of Adani Group deals.
