Swedish defense firm Saab plans to build a US facility for munitions production by 2026.

Swedish defense firm Saab plans to build a new facility in the US to boost munitions production capacity and strengthen its global supply chain. Planned for completion in 2026, the site will support engineering and production of missile weapon systems for the US military, including components for Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) systems and close combat weapons. Saab aims to finalize the location and break ground on the facility by the end of 2024.
