Parkland Corp., a major Canadian convenience store and fuel station operator, announced plans to sell 157 of its locations across six provinces. The assets for sale include locations using popular brands such as Chevron, Ultramar, Pioneer, and FasGas, as well as the On the Run convenience store banner. The sale process has been initiated in the face of calls from New York-based activist investor Engine Capital LP for a complete board overhaul at the company.
