NCAA President Charlie Baker is urging states with legal sports betting to ban betting on individual college athlete performances, known as prop betting. This comes in response to the increasing number of threats to the integrity of competitions and student-athletes being harassed due to prop bets. The NCAA is also partnering with data science company Signify to track and block threats made to athletes during championship events linked to wagering.
