Freihofer's Bakery permanently closed its remaining four Capital Region locations in New York.
Freihofer's Bakery, a longstanding bakery in New York since 1913, with roots back to 1880, has permanently closed its remaining four Capital Region locations in Albany, Schenectady, Queensbury, and Nelliston. Bimbo Bakeries, the owner of Freihofer, announced the closures this year, following the closure of several stores across New York State in 2019. Freihofer's baked goods will still be available at local grocery stores.
