William Tyrrell's foster parents were sentenced to 12-month good behaviour bonds after being found guilty of intimidating a child. The couple, who were investigated due to police surveillance during the investigation into William's 2014 disappearance, were also fined $1,500 for placing dummy bids at the auction of their Sydney home. The foster mother was also sentenced to a 12-month community corrections order for assault charges.
