Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks leaves for rival soap Coronation Street as its new producer.

Emmerdale producer, Kate Brooks, is leaving her role to join rival soap Coronation Street as its new producer. Brooks, who had spent eight years working as a producer on Emmerdale, will succeed Iain MacLeod, who was promoted to executive producer for continuing drama. This move marks a return to Coronation Street for Brooks, as she previously served as story producer for the show from 2012 to 2014.
