CCI approves Adani Power's acquisition of Lanco Amarkantak Power in insolvency proceedings.
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has given its approval for Adani Power to acquire 100% share capital in Lanco Amarkantak Power, a thermal power generation company undergoing insolvency proceedings. The proposed acquisition follows the corporate insolvency resolution process initiated under India's Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) of 2016. CCI stated that the proposed transaction does not lead to any appreciable adverse effects on competition in any relevant market in India.
