Climate pollution is falling in California, but it’s still too high. We need to do more, not less, to fix it.

California's emissions fell 10% from 2019-2021, with EV sales highest in the nation. However, power sector pollution rose by 10%. To reach its 2035 goal of a 58% reduction, California must decrease emissions annually by 6.8% until then. Key to this is focusing on clean power policies, removing barriers, and increasing funding for cleaner transportation, healthy homes, and decarbonized manufacturing.
