BJ's Wholesale Club plans to open five new stores in the Southeast and Midwest regions of the US, expanding its footprint and adding around 150 jobs per location. The new stores will open in Maryville, Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Palm Coast and West Palm Beach, Florida; and Carmel, Indiana. BJ's has a focus on grocery items and smaller store sizes, positioning itself as a competitor to Costco and Walmart-owned Sam's Club.
