Auckland police investigate white paint vandalism of a rainbow crossing as a hate crime.
Following a similar incident in Gisborne, Auckland police are treating the vandalism of a rainbow pedestrian crossing on Karangahape Rd as a "hate crime." White paint was poured over the crossing overnight. Police released images of a vehicle and a suspect believed to be linked to the incident and executed a search warrant at an address in East Auckland's Flat Bush.
