Asda, Asos, and Boohoo agree to report accurate environmental impacts of clothes after a 20-month UK CMA investigation.
Asda, Asos, and Boohoo have agreed to inform customers accurately about the environmental impact of their clothes after a 20-month investigation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The three retailers will have to file regular reports to the CMA to prevent "greenwashing" after concerns over their environmental claims. The CMA launched an investigation in 2022, claiming some clothes in the companies' ranges did not meet green criteria.
