2023: Artisanal Spirits Company reports £3.6M pre-tax loss, despite 8% revenue growth to £23.5M and 10% membership increase.
The Artisanal Spirits Company, owner of Scotch Malt Whisky Society, reported a pre-tax loss of £3.6M in 2023, compared to £2.1M in 2022. Despite the wider loss, revenue grew by 8% to £23.5M and membership increased by 10% to 41,000. The company attributed the loss to challenges in China and higher interest payments, but also highlighted a successful year of revenue growth and diversification.
