Architect and environmentalist Duncan Stewart claims the €9.5 billion MetroLink project in Dublin is "seriously flawed", "exorbitantly expensive", and carbon intensive. He suggests it is incompatible with other rail systems and cannot address mobility needs. Stewart proposes reorganizing Dublin city centre buses on a contraflow route and argues the airport authority and airlines should fund the project.
