49-year-old British father missing after attempting to save son in Mauritius lagoon.
49-year-old British dad feared dead after attempting to save son, 15, on holiday in Mauritius. The man disappeared beneath the waves during a rescue attempt at Pomponette lagoon on Saturday morning. His son survived and was rescued, but the search for the father continued into Sunday without success. The Foreign Office is supporting the family and in contact with local authorities.
