UK accuses China of cyberattacks on voting records.
The UK government is set to accuse China of cyberattacks that compromised the voting records of 40 million people and targeted lawmakers. Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden is expected to announce sanctions against state-affiliated individuals and entities implicated in the attacks. The Electoral Commission disclosed the attack in 2021 but did not identify the perpetrators until now. The Chinese government has not yet commented on the accusations.
