3 thoroughbreds killed, 4 injured in Bardstown crash; truck driver sent to hospital. A trailer carrying seven thoroughbred horses crashed on the Bluegrass Parkway in Bardstown, killing three horses and injuring four others. The driver, who crossed over into the westbound lanes and crashed into an overpass embankment, was severely cut but expected to survive, having been flown to a hospital in Louisville.
