3 Paterson police officers arrested for allegedly covering up NYPD captain's domestic violence case. Giuseppe Ciarla, 42, Juan Cruz-Fernandez, 29, and Jason Schmid, 34, face charges of official misconduct, conspiracy, and hindering apprehension. The officers were accused of not properly investigating a Dec. 10, 2022 domestic assault involving an NYPD captain, Hariton Marachilian, who was present at the scene with visible injuries.
