O-I Glass selected by US Department of Energy for up to $125M funding to accelerate industrial decarbonization technologies. The O-I decarbonization project was chosen as one of 33 projects across 20+ states to receive up to $6B for commercial-scale decarbonization solutions. The Glass Furnace Decarbonization Technology project plans to rebuild four furnaces across three facilities in CA, OH, and VA to reduce carbon emissions and strengthen local economies.
