New Zealand universities face allegations of ethnic segregation at Auckland University.
ACT Tertiary Education spokesperson Dr Parmjeet Parmar has called on New Zealand universities to address allegations of ethnic segregation. Photos posted online show official-looking signs at Auckland University's entrances reserving study rooms for Māori and Pasifika students. If true, this is viewed as segregation. Universities owe an explanation to the Kiwis who pay their taxes, as such practices have no place in New Zealand's future.
