New Zealand's coalition government is investing $18 million to enhance the National Travel Assistance (NTA) scheme, assisting citizens requiring specialist health treatment. Changes include raising mileage rates, increasing nightly accommodation rates, and improving payment options, benefiting around 4,500 New Zealanders. The updates will be implemented in stages, starting from April 1, 2024.
