The MTA is considering exemptions for government vehicles, school buses and long-distance bus lines from Manhattan's upcoming congestion pricing toll. Yellow school buses with Department of Education contracts, public and private, will be exempt, as well as long-distance bus lines such as Greyhound, the Hampton Jitney and Megabus. These exemptions would not apply to city workers' privately owned cars.
