Montana Board of Public Education urges OPI to fund and expedite public charter schools.

Montana's Board of Public Education held a special meeting, expressing frustration with the Office of Public Instruction (OPI) for not implementing new legislation on public charter schools. The Board unanimously decided to send a letter to Superintendent Elsie Arntzen, requesting OPI to begin funding public charter schools and expedite the opening process. The Board had previously approved 19 public charter schools.
