Kraft Heinz receives $170mn for 99% carbon emission reduction at 10 US plants, investing in clean energy technologies.

Kraft Heinz plans to reduce carbon emissions by over 99% across 10 US plants with $170mn investment from the U.S. Department of Energy. The funds will be used to install clean energy technologies such as heat pumps, electric heaters, and thermal energy storage at the plants. This initiative is expected to create around 500 construction jobs and provide additional training for employees once new technology is installed.
