Ireland's public sector unions have accepted a new pay agreement, which will provide a 10.25% increase over 2.5 years for 385,000 public servants. The deal, which is expected to exceed inflation, will benefit lower-paid employees and include significant increases this year. Finance Minister Michael McGrath praised the agreement as bringing "industrial peace" and stability to the public sector. The agreement will cost €3.6 billion and applies to almost 400,000 workers.
