CQC identifies ongoing concerns with care and safety at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, recommends relicensing Rampton hospital for 12 months.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a rapid review revealing ongoing concerns about care and patient safety at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which treated Valdo Calocane, the Nottingham killer. The review identifies three areas of concern: demand for services and access to care, staffing and leadership. The CQC has recommended the trust address these issues and, for Rampton high-security hospital, which has been a concern for nearly five years, to be relicensed for a period of no more than 12 months.
