Cathay Pacific sets new target to reduce carbon intensity by 12% by 2030, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050. The airline plans to introduce over 70 new fuel-efficient aircraft, increase Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) usage, and implement operational improvements to achieve this goal. Cathay also pledges to offset 10% of carbon emissions from employee duty travel on its flights from 2024.
