Wall Street ends lower ahead of US data; dollar pressured by yen, yuan.

Asian markets were mixed as investors awaited key US inflation data; Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 0.7%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite gained 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. The Chinese yuan fell to a four-month low, and investors awaited the US core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index, with the annual pace expected to remain at 2.8%. Market reactions will have to wait until next week due to many markets being closed for Easter on Friday when the data is due for release.
