4- and 5-year-old siblings with severe injuries found in Lower Hutt, NZ; police investigating.
In Lower Hutt, NZ, a tip led police to two young siblings, aged 4 and 5, with severe, deliberately inflicted injuries. The siblings were hospitalized after only two nights in their new Stokes Valley home. The family, known to both Oranga Tamariki and the police, had been previously visited. The children are now recovering well. Police continue to investigate and appeal for witnesses.
