West Virginia University has hired Drake's basketball coach Darian DeVries as its next head coach. DeVries is expected to sign a five-year contract for the Mountaineers' job. DeVries, who has a 150-55 record in six seasons leading Drake, guided the Bulldogs to three NCAA Tournaments in the past four years, including an at-large bid in 2021 and consecutive Missouri Valley Conference titles in 2023 and 2024.
