The UK Space Agency establishes new headquarters at Harwell Science Campus and regional offices to boost the UK's space sector, which grows faster than the economy.
The UK Space Agency is expanding its presence with new headquarters at Harwell Science Campus in Oxfordshire and regional offices in Scotland, Wales, and the Midlands to support the UK's thriving space sector, promote regional skills and job opportunities, and strengthen the UK's science superpower ambitions. The UK space sector is growing faster than the country's economy, contributing £17.5 billion annually and employing over 45,000 people. The new headquarters and regional offices will help nurture the skills and expertise of the sector, support high-growth areas such as Earth observation and satellite broadband, and enable the UK to establish early leadership in emerging markets such as spacecraft servicing and active space debris removal.
