Major investors with A$35 trillion ($23 trillion) in assets have become more optimistic about Australia's climate policy, with around half considering financing renewable energy projects. Policy and regulatory uncertainty, once seen as a barrier to clean economy investment, has fallen dramatically, according to the Investor Group on Climate Change's (IGCC) 2023 annual Net Zero Survey. Investors see Australian government's move to legislate climate-related disclosures as one of the biggest changes in policy priorities in the past year.
