Texas-based Hennessey's Venom F5 Revolution set a new lap record at COTA, beating Czinger 21C and McLaren P1 records.

Texas-based hypercar manufacturer Hennessey has set a new lap record at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) with its Venom F5 Revolution. The car lapped COTA in 2:10.90, beating the previous record holder, the Czinger 21C's time by 0.43 seconds and the McLaren P1's record by almost seven seconds. The Venom F5 Revolution is a track-focused version of the F5, featuring a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing more than 1,800 horsepower.
