South Korea's FTC plans a four-week preliminary market research study on e-commerce for fair business practices.
South Korea's antitrust regulator, the Fair Trade Commission (FTC), plans to launch a four-week preliminary market research study into the e-commerce sector to analyze market structure and competition issues as part of efforts for fair business practices. The study will collect opinions from stakeholders, relevant associations, and consumers, reviewing similar research conducted by the European Union, Britain, and Australia. The FTC will then set research subjects and methods, conducting an inquiry into major e-commerce operators domestically and abroad before issuing a report by the end of the year.
