South Korea joins Horizon Europe as an associated member in 2025, participating in Pillar II.

South Korea will become the first Asian country to join Horizon Europe, the world's largest multilateral research and innovation funding program, in 2025. The country will participate in Pillar II of Horizon Europe, focusing on joint research to address global challenges and strengthen industrial competitiveness. This makes South Korea the third non-EU country to join Horizon Europe as an associated member, after New Zealand, the UK, and Canada.
