QatarEnergy signs 15-year charter agreements with Nakilat for 25 LNG vessels, expanding Qatar's LNG production capacity to 142 million tons by 2030.
QatarEnergy has signed time-charter party agreements with Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) for the operation of 25 conventional-size LNG vessels, as part of its LNG Fleet Expansion Program. The vessels will be constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hanwha Ocean shipyards in South Korea, with each vessel having a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters. The 15-year charter agreements support Qatar's plan to expand its LNG production capacity to 142 million tons per annum by 2030.
