Northern Lights may be visible in northern UK tonight due to solar winds and Coronal Mass Ejection.

The Met Office predicts that the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) could be visible tonight in northern parts of the UK, due to fast solar winds and a recent Coronal Mass Ejection from the Sun. The best locations to see the phenomenon include Whitley Bay, Barns Ness Lighthouse, Lewis and Harris, the Isle of Skye, Aberdeenshire and Moray Coast, the Cairngorms National Park, Whitley Bay, Galloway Forest Park, Shetland Isles, and Orkney. Clear skies and minimal light pollution are necessary for optimal viewing.
