A new species of African bullfrog, Pyxicephalus beytelli, has been discovered in northeastern Namibia, southern Angola, southwestern Zambia, and northwestern Botswana, marking the largest frog species found in over a century. Named in honour of Ben Beytell, a prominent figure in Namibian wildlife conservation, the species features striking colors and a powerful bite with unique teeth. This is the fourth African bullfrog species discovered in Southern Africa.
