McDonald's outlets in Sri Lanka have closed following a legal battle with its local franchise holder over allegations of poor hygiene. The US fast-food chain launched the legal action, leading the Commercial High Court of Colombo to order the closures until April 4, after the parent company accused the local franchise holder of not meeting international hygiene standards.
