The Maharashtra state archaeology department discovered two temple bases during excavations in Sakaleshwar temple premises near Ambajogai, Beed district. The Sakaleshwar temple, built by the Yadava dynasty in 1228 AD, revealed the bases of two temples, one named Kholeshwar, and evidence of shikhars and sculpture parts. The findings are part of a larger project to survey ancient monuments in Ambajogai, aiming to designate the area as a heritage village.
