The students were held captive for two weeks before their release. The deployment aims to protect vulnerable communities in Chikun, Kajuru, and Birnin-Gwari, which have faced attacks by bandits and terrorists. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State expressed gratitude for the joint efforts of security agencies that led to the rescue.
