India's Pollution Control Vessel, Samudra Paheredar, arrives in Manila for a two-week ASEAN deployment, aiming to enhance cooperation and demonstrate marine pollution response capabilities.

India's Coast Guard ship Samudra Paheredar, a specialized Pollution Control Vessel, arrived in Manila, Philippines, marking the start of its two-week overseas deployment (OSD) to Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. The mission aims to enhance cooperation, interoperability, and demonstrate India's capabilities in marine pollution response to ASEAN nations. The ship will be joined by 25 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets who will contribute to the expansion of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, an international clean-up initiative focused on beach clean-ups and similar activities in collaboration with partner nations.
