Iloilo city declares pertussis outbreak, joining Quezon and Pasig, due to 453 cases nationally amid disrupted immunization.
The Philippines city of Iloilo has declared a pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak after confirming seven out of 15 reported cases, following Quezon and Pasig cities, which also declared outbreaks. The Department of Health reports 453 pertussis cases this year, blaming the increase on disruptions in routine immunization.
