The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has selected Heidelberg Materials' new cement plant in Mitchell, Indiana for up to $500M in funding under the Industrial Demonstrations Program (IDP). The project aims to advance the full-scale implementation of integrated carbon capture, transport, and storage at the cement plant site. This key step in scaling deployment of carbon capture aligns with Heidelberg Materials' ambitions to achieve net-zero emissions.
